Hallo Leute.

Hat jemand irgendwelche Informationen oder Erinnerungen an die Limited Centennial Edition Trompeten im Jahr 1987 verkauft feiert die 100 Jahre Yamaha Company.

Ich hatte ursprünglich die Centenary Edition als YTR-8335HSGP aufgelistet, aber seit empfangen Infos und Fotos, wonach die YTR-6335 (GP) als Limited Centennial Edition ausgestellt wurde. War der YTR-6335 (GP) Centennial das einzige Modell als eine "Limited Centennial Edition " oder wo andere auch vorhanden.?

Gab es jemals Broschüren speziell für diese / diesen Modellen als einziger Beleg stoße ich auf zuvor war die Gravur auf der Rückseite des Yamaha Trumpet Broschüre W-120 vorgestellten hatte.

I finally went down to my local music shop and checked out some more brochures. BUT, not trumpet ones. I looked at all of the Yamaha ones EXCEPT for the trumpet ones. As I suspected, they all too use the W-xxx series of numbers. Can I assume that the "W" stands for "Winds" maybe??? Any thoughts?

I have come across the following:

W-194R - Yamaha - Tubas & Euphoniums
W-217 - Yamaha - Custom Euphoniums
W-232R2 - Yamaha - Trombones

What this means for me is that the scope of my search for Trumpet material is much less that anticipated. If you have any old Yamaha Catalogues kicking around in your studio I'd love to get a scan of them if possible.

I have added photos of the very first Yamaha Trumpet to the model list.

The YTR-1 was produced by the "Nikkan" wind instrument company and is identical to the Nikkan Imperial model produced at the same time, except the branding. Produced from 1965 until approximately 1970. They are now very rare, even in Japan.

I have also got more models and history to come. Stay tuned.

I have started to create a draft timeline of the development and introduction of the Yamaha models. It has taken a while and a lot of Japanese translations to sort through the early models and how Yamaha evolved from the [r]Nikkan[/r] Wind Company. Sorting this information out means I can now move forward with just the Yamaha models. Note that most of the instruments build between 1967 and the opening of the Toyooka/Hamamatsu plant in 1970 are really hand built pre-production prototypes. Many variations between these YTR-634 models and the post-1970 production models can be observed. This will be updated and completed as time allows.
