Hallo,

a friend bought an Adaci Referenz 2001 in Bb and with normal mouthpiece (Bach or Frate) but also with Monette Prana mp have some intonation problems...a very high pitch, so he needs to pull out the main tuning slide very much.

Anybody knows something about this trumpet?

I've played a Adaci Reference 2001 for several years. it was a great trumpet with a wonderful sound and perfect intonation. If at all, your described intonation problem must be a problem of the individual instrument of your friend. Perhaps it isn't in very best condition?
Anyway, the producer (Romeo Adaci) died too soon. I would recommend your friend to check the trumpet by a trumpet workshop.

Where did your friend get the instrument from? I heard of a case where a buyer bought an Adaci flugelhorn, but realised that something was wrong with the instrument. Apparently the seller acquired Adaci flugelhorn parts and used stock parts to finish the horn. The resulting instrument had neither great sound nor intonation. The instrument was subsequently returned, but maybe similar instruments are in circulation. It might be worthwhile to get it checked over by someone who knows Adaci's instruments.

The horn seems to be all original.
